SHANNON MESTAS

Hi! My name is Shannon Mestas and I grew up in Concord, CA. I finished my softball career at Solano Community College with a batting average of .391, 45 RBIs, and 3 HRs. Pitching, I ended the season with 205 strikeouts and was named BVAL MVP Pitcher of the Year, and made the NFCA Cal JC All-American Team. I am so grateful for the experiences and lessons softball has taught me and I’m excited to share my knowledge with the upcoming talent!

Every athlete is different, and my lessons and approach are unique to each student and their skills. My goal is to help each student achieve their peak performance by working on fundamentals and to form good habits. I encourage athletes to set goals (short-term, long-term, and daily) and provide support by creating a detailed plan with the steps necessary for their vision to become a reality. My late coach Sam used to say, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard” and I truly believe that to be accurate. Talent and hard work go hand in hand, though without hard work your talent cannot be fulfilled to its full potential! I’m confident that I can help young women strive to be their best selves physically and mentally, while being a positive influence and mentor.
